"Those who are at war with others are not at peace with themselves"
What a great day, watching the whole of Tamaki Primary get behind the ideals of 'Pink Shirt Day'. An amazing assembly run by student leaders in our school meant the whole school had a chance to get involved and support each other.
At lunchtime, I had over 40 children come up to me with their 'compliment' sentences. Even though it was a simple exercise, I cannot begin to share how 'warm and fuzzy' I felt when each child read off a pre-written compliment. - My favourite? "I think you are as much fun as rolling in bubble wrap."
I am hoping that I can remember to continue this - let the compliments begin!
